Currently on exhibit at the Allied Arts Council Spruce Grove Gallery - "Fire and Ice" - Members Show and Sale

"Hi - From the Land of Fire and Ice" $300.00 

This 16" X 20"  painting is done on a 2" stretched canvas frame using acrylic paints and textured media.

Inspired from hiking some of the incredibly dramatic coastline of western Iceland on a trip there in 2019. 


"Gatkettur - Magical View of the Glaciers" $200.00

This framed painting is done on 12"x16"  canvas panel using acrylic paint and textured media. 

I wanted to share the mystical feeling of walking though the lava fields of Dritvik, Iceland, looking for the exact spot to stand to see the Snaefellsnes Glacier, on a far away mountain top, through the magical window, just the the hidden folk do.

My Happy Place...

is painting anywhere/anytime, especially plein air when accompanied by a like-minded group of artists in a new and exciting environment.  

Experience

 Art is my passion!


As a life long learner I have taken many art classes and workshops over the years. I have also been very fortunate to travel to other parts of the world and study with internationally known artists.  I am so thankful to see this amazing life through artist's eyes. 


While working and raising a family I have struggled to find the time and energy to grow my art practice and am very excited to be able to do that now that retirement is here!


 I am a member of the Allied Arts Council in Spruce Grove, Alberta, and am enjoying the many opportunities to "grow and show"!   

Education

In 2006 I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension with a Fine Arts Certificate. 

I was able to have several successful gallery shows during my time there and am looking forward to finding new venues and avenues to share my  art work.
