Welcome to my online art space. Cathy Lea Scott

River Celebration is an acrylic painting done on a 12" x 12" canvas focusing on two people celebrating the beauty of McDonald Creek in Glacier National Park.
Celebration of Creation is a pastel painting done on a sanded panel and framed in a shadow box frame.
I have done a portrait of myself plein air painting in the beautiful meadow at the foot of Mount Robson in B.C. It was an incredible experience!
is painting anywhere/anytime, especially plein air when accompanied by a like-minded group of artists in a new and exciting environment.
Art is my passion!
As a life long learner I have taken many art classes and workshops over the years. I have also been very fortunate to travel to other parts of the world and study with internationally known artists. I am so thankful to see this amazing life through artist's eyes.
While working and raising a family I have struggled to find the time and energy to grow my art practice and am very excited to be able to do that now that retirement is here!
I am a member of the Allied Arts Council in Spruce Grove, Alberta, and am enjoying the many opportunities to "grow and show"!
In 2006 I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension with a Fine Arts Certificate.
I was able to have several successful gallery shows during my time there and am looking forward to finding new venues and avenues to share my art work.
